Pastor Joel Knudsen
Growing up in southwestern Connecticut, Pastor Joel was led to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by his father at age six. He attended Philadelphia College of Bible where he received a Bachelor of Science in Bible with a minor in Christian Education. He graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary in 1980 with a Master of Theology in Bible Exposition.
Pastor Joel began his ministry at Church in the Pines in January of 1990. Since that time he has endeavored to teach and preach God’s Word clearly and practically and live it out as honestly as possible. The church has steadily grown under his leadership.
Pastor Joel is married to Linda who is from Osceola, Arkansas. They have four wonderful children.
Besides preaching, teaching, and coordinating ministries, Pastor Joel regularly makes himself available to disciple men into church leaders. In addition to church responsibilities, he coordinates the area nursing home services for the local clergy group and participates in two pastoral support groups.
